Aisla was born from the financial and legal market need in New York for a millwork-like system, produced at scale, prioritizing a clean aesthetic.
Initiated with specific product requirements, the design exploration was for Aisla to read as a whole, not as a system of parts, where continuity of line is privileged and nothing is superfluous.
I led the design exploration and execution for Aisla while working at Steelcase. Aisla is a premium oriented planing system including thin powered panels, complimentary storage & height adjustable desking.
